about Southwest Market
China West Machine Tool Exhibition (CWMTE) is dedicated to introducing the latest technologies and equipment to the manufacturing industries in southwest region.
■ Regionally the Southwest has a population of 180 million and GDP of 7 trillion Yuan. By GDP growth in the first half of 2016, Chongqing ranks top for its 10.6%, followed by Guizhou (10.5%), Sichuan (7.5%) and Yunnan (6.6%).
■ Chongqing is geographically important for being the hinge in China's Belt & Road Initiative and Yangtze Economic Belt, as well as for being the start point of Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe International Railway, Southwest Bonded Logistics Center and inland railway portal.
■ The manufacturing industries in Southwest include automobile OEM and parts, motorcycle OEM and parts, national defense, aeronautics and astronautics, electronics, IT, railway equipment, shipbuilding, petrochemical facilities and peripherals.

Professional visitors from Guizhou amounted to 3706, focused on aeronautics, astronautics, automobile OEM and parts, electronics and machinery.

■ The last event (exhibition area: 75000m2) attracted 868 exhibitors from Europe, America, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan and China Mainland,
■ as well as 30073 professional visitors from 9911 users, research institutes and higher education institutions.
It is expected that this event (exhibition space: 78000m2) will attract 900 exhitors and 32000-35000 visitors from 10000 companies.
